GateTrips

Terms & Conditions

Draft, written for how GateTrips actually works today — it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. Get it reviewed, and fill in the governing-law section below, before relying on it.

These terms cover your agency's use of GateTrips, a B2B platform for searching and booking hotel inventory on behalf of your own clients. By using the platform, your agency agrees to them.

Accounts

A new agency can apply for an account via our public registration form, but nothing is activated automatically — our team reviews every application before it goes live. Once your agency is active, every additional user is created by your agency's own admin, who is responsible for who has access and at what markup. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials to yourself — enabling the available two-factor authentication is recommended.

The service

GateTrips searches and books hotel inventory from our supplier, Hotelbeds. We don't hold our own hotel contracts — availability, rates and hotel content (photos, descriptions, cancellation terms) are provided by the supplier, and we're not responsible for inaccuracies in that content.

Pricing & payment

Your agency books against its own account balance, not a card charged per booking. The price shown and confirmed to you is your agency's sell price, inclusive of your agency's markup; supplier net rates aren't shown to agents.

Cancellations

Each rate's own cancellation policy and deadline is shown before you book it, and again on the voucher — that policy, not a blanket GateTrips policy, is what applies to that booking.

Onward sale to your clients

Your contract for a booking is with GateTrips; your client's contract is with your agency, not with us. We're not a party to, and aren't liable for, disputes between your agency and your client.

Acceptable use

Use the platform only for genuine bookings on behalf of real clients. Don't attempt to access another agency's data, and don't attempt to circumvent the account and permission controls in place.

Availability & liability

The platform is provided as-is; we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it, to the extent that's permitted by law.

Governing law

[Add: which country's law these terms are governed by, and where disputes would be handled — none of this is established anywhere in the system yet.]
